Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong Python mastery (AsyncIO and FastAPI preferred).
- Experience with Perl or genuine eagerness to learn and work within Perl production code.
- Solid experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, and retry policies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
- Experience with Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with AWS (Lambda, cloud services).
- Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, message queues).
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Responsibilities
- Support and extend the existing Perl-based payment gateway through debugging and feature development.
- Design, develop, and maintain modern server-side components using Python.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external payment services into both legacy and modern systems.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders in an agile environment using English.
- Apply a product-focused mindset to understand business logic and user impact.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
- Work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments.
