Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong Python mastery, with preference for AsyncIO and FastAPI.
- Experience with Perl or a genuine willingness to learn and work within Perl production code.
- Solid experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, and retry policies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
- Proficiency with Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures including Kafka or message queues.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Support and extend the existing Perl-based payment gateway by debugging production issues and adding features.
- Design, develop, and maintain modern server-side components using Python.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external payment services into both legacy and modern platform layers.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams in agile sprints using strong English communication skills.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality.
- Work closely with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments.
