Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating resilient backend services at scale.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Go (Golang), Java, or Python.
  • Experience deploying and managing production workloads in AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, and asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
  • Foundational background in computer science, data structures, and self-healing cloud architectures.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (desired).
  • Familiarity with database migration pathways (desired).
  • Experience implementing OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing systems (desired).
  • Experience with network topology, proxy layers, or MTA protocols (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Architect and ship reliable, high-velocity features with low end-to-end latency.
  • Partner with product management and technical leadership to define iterative milestones.
  • Drive code reviews and maintain high testing standards (unit, integration, and component testing) for the Go codebase.
  • Manage and enhance cloud configurations across AWS and Azure using Terraform.
  • Ensure deep observability coverage with metrics, alerts, and distributed tracing.
  • Identify technical debt and system bottlenecks while balancing feature delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead technical sprint planning.
