Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active state teaching license.
  • Trade and Industrial Education Certification, Trade and Industrial Workforce Training, or Vocational Trades and Industry certification.
  • Ability to clear a background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
  • Commitment to maintaining teacher certification and professional development hours.
  • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for professional development, testing, and school requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
  • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain grade books, and alert administrators to performance concerns.
  • Communicate regularly with students and learning coaches to provide instructional support.
  • Administer assessments and support Career & Technical Student Organization activities.
  • Collaborate with school staff and industry partners to create work-based learning opportunities.
