Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing Linux-based embedded or robotics platforms.
- Proven experience building a 0-1 platform at a robotics or autonomous vehicle company.
- Deep expertise in shipping real-time, safety-critical systems such as Avionics or ADAS.
- Expert-level C++ (C++17 or higher) and strong Python proficiency.
- Deep knowledge of IPC middleware and Linux/POSIX systems.
- Expertise in real-time performance tuning and profiling using perf, eBPF, and ftrace/LTTng.
- Experience with Git, Docker/OCI containers, and CI/CD for OS images.
- Proficiency with vehicle communication buses like Ethernet/TSN, CAN, PCIe, SPI, I2C.
- Experience with functional safety workflows such as ISO 26262, MISRA, or SOTIF.
- Experience with Nvidia Orin/Thor platforms and heterogeneous compute scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for the platform.
- Own the future architecture of Ubuntu/Yocto/Linux distributions for real-time autonomous workloads.
- Set strategy for ROS 2 IPC middleware across the fleet.
- Lead development of user-space drivers for LiDAR, camera, radar, GNSS/INS, CAN, and other vehicle interfaces.
- Manage end-to-end functional safety and security strategy including ISO 26262/SOTIF alignment.
- Collaborate with autonomy, perception, and controls teams to set cross-stack performance budgets.
- Define CI/CD standards for OS images, driver packages, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Mentor senior engineers and lead technical hiring and calibration.
