Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in a Private Equity backed company.
  • Extensive experience in inventory operations, accounting, and plant controllership.
  • Strong background in cost accounting (standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Manufacturing or distribution industry experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Serve clients across the Office of the CFO at private equity portfolio companies specializing in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Evaluate current practices and provide recommendations to enhance the efficiency of accounting, finance, and operations.
  • Develop and operationalize US-GAAP compliant inventory accounting policies and month-end close procedures.
  • Design, implement, and optimize standard costing systems to improve understanding of product-level profitability.
  • Develop frameworks for budgeting, cost control, and performance evaluation through variance analysis.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients.
  • Participate in business development activities and market services to prospective clients.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.
