Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently statewide across North Carolina.
- Strong skills in recruiting, motivating, and coaching others.
- Operational knowledge of how small businesses run.
- Proven ability to build trust and effectively manage professional relationships.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in the field rather than behind a screen.
- Knowledge of North Carolina child care licensing (DCDEE) is a strong advantage.
- Experience recruiting, coaching, or consulting to small business owners or child care providers is preferred.
- MBA or undergraduate business degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with North Carolina’s quality rating and improvement work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Recruit new child care providers and guide them through the process.
- Motivate and coach providers through licensing for centers and family child care homes.
- Teach providers essential business operations including enrollment, compliance, and financial management.
- Translate North Carolina’s DCDEE licensing rules into actionable steps for providers.
- Develop playbooks, training, and materials to scale support for future providers.
- Partner with state agencies and community organizations to expand child care supply in high-need areas.
