Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product development for an e-commerce company selling on Amazon.
  • Proven ability to analyze market data and identify profitable opportunities in the outdoor, fitness, or consumer product categories.
  • Experience in business analytics, financial/strategic analysis, or data modeling for product or project decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative reasoning skills able to use data to drive actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with analytics, data visualization, and querying tools (SQL, Excel, BI platforms, etc.).
  • Creative and innovative mindset with an eye for design, functionality, and customer experience.
  • Engineering or technical background and strong understanding of manufacturing and sourcing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with global teams and suppliers.
  • Experience working with international suppliers (especially in China) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of consumer-focused and enterprise-level product lines defining strategy, vision, and roadmap supported by internal and external analysis.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand strategy.
  • Conduct deep niche and competitor research on Amazon and broader markets to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing lines.
  • Use data-driven decision-making leveraging market trends, customer insights, pricing analysis, and cost-performance data to guide product direction.
  • Perform deep-dive analytics on customer behavior, product performance, and category trends to uncover actionable insights.
  • Develop detailed requirements, product specifications, and user stories, ensuring clear communication with engineering and sourcing partners.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, product performance, and operational complexity.
  • Work closely with sourcing agents and suppliers to evaluate manufacturing options, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Managers, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure smooth product delivery, launch, and adoption.
  • Define and monitor key business metrics to measure success and optimize product performance post-launch.
