Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in M&A, business development, private equity, business brokerage, legal consulting, or corporate development.
  • Proven ability to build trust and develop relationships with business owners and executives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Financial acumen with experience in performance metrics and strategic evaluation.
  • Experience with acquisition due diligence processes.
  • Familiarity with legal industry dynamics is preferred.
  • Existing professional network within the legal industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting multi-location growth initiatives is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate law firm acquisition opportunities by researching target firms and building a strong pipeline.
  • Monitor market trends and business indicators to prioritize potential acquisition targets.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with law firm owners and partners through strategic outreach.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments of targets by analyzing financial, operational, and organizational information.
  • Manage the entire acquisition lifecycle, coordinating between prospective partners and firm leadership.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding growth and market penetration.
