Requirements

  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Imaging Science, Image Processing, Computer Vision, or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of image formation processes including spectrum, optics, aberrations, PSF, sensor noise, Fourier theory, and sampling.
  • Experience developing and tuning Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipelines.
  • Experience in image quality testing and familiarity with image quality metrics.
  • Proficiency in coding with MATLAB, Python, or C/C++, with a preference for CUDA.
  • Ability to design code for efficiency targeting GPU and Cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience developing lab setups for camera performance studies.
  • Experience in camera calibration and modeling of imaging systems.
  • Familiarity with image sensors, imaging optics, and processing algorithms.
  • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and execute state-of-the-art imaging software simulation tools to enable novel camera HW explorations and machine learning dataset generation.
  • Investigate latest imaging simulation methods including ISET, ZEMAX, and non-sequential ray tracing for architecture and image quality development.
  • Experiment and collect data to validate simulator accuracy and improve modeling efficiency.
  • Build, operate, and maintain lab setups for camera prototype data acquisition.
  • Develop camera test methodologies and debug test scripts for data collection automation.
  • Analyze, organize, and present imaging measurement data.
  • Manage supplier interactions to deliver camera prototypes for concept demonstrations.
