Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in marketplace leadership, category general management, business development, or growth roles.
- Demonstrated experience within consumer tech or two-sided platforms.
- Proven track record of managing full P&L or revenue-level outcomes.
- Experience scaling a vertical, marketplace segment, or new business line.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional roadmaps.
- Deep fluency in marketplace mechanics such as liquidity, take rate, CAC/LTV, cohort behavior, and supply elasticity.
- Experience as a people leader with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Deep connection to culture-driven or enthusiast categories.
Responsibilities
- Own full-stack P&L including revenue, contribution margin, liquidity, and growth targets for the vertical.
- Develop annual and multi-year business plans, forecasts, and investment cases to maximize ROI.
- Define long-term category vision, competitive differentiation, and expansion strategies.
- Architect playbooks for acquiring, activating, and retaining high-value sellers and creators.
- Influence product roadmaps for seller tooling, pricing, and trust features.
- Partner with marketing and operations to drive demand, optimize onboarding, and ensure platform health.
- Hire and develop category managers and supporting staff to scale the vertical.
- Act as the senior representative for the vertical within the category ecosystem.
