Requirements

Proven experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 people.
Extensive experience with Backend development, specifically Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming.
Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows and iterating on them.
Ability to think in systems: defining clear specs, planning, and verification.
Solid knowledge of engineering principles and best practices.
Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Strong automation and AI capabilities and fluency.
Commitment to promoting company values and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
Participate in product development 70% of the time, with 30% spent on management tasks.
Handle hiring and onboarding processes for new team members.
Provide continuous, constructive feedback, coaching, and career guidance for direct reports.
Redesign engineering shipping processes to use autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
Propose and operationalize end-to-end agentic workflows.
Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives for cross-domain application.
Implement verification loops (tests, checks, evals) to ensure security and scalability.
