- 7+ years in financial regulatory compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior compliance role
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years in financial regulatory compliance.
- 5+ years in a senior compliance role, preferably in auto lending or consumer lending.
- Expertise in compliance risk management: risk identification, scoring, and risk registers.
- Experience managing a risk-based monitoring and testing program.
- Practical experience with GRC platform implementation or support.
- Proficiency in drafting and maintaining policy/procedure lifecycles.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex initiatives.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology for efficiency and openness to AI solution integration.
- Proven experience in team leadership and performance management.
- Certification in compliance (e.g., CRCM) is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify compliance gaps, score risks, and maintain a living risk register to prioritize program focus.
- Build and maintain controls to integrate compliance requirements into daily business operations.
- Draft, maintain, and manage the lifecycle of organizational policies and procedures.
- Operate a structured, risk-based monitoring and testing program with defined calendars.
- Manage issue remediation, including logging findings, determining root causes, and driving closure.
- Coordinate regulatory examinations, including document management and communication logistics.
- Prepare KPI dashboards and compliance reporting for executive leadership and the board.
- Directly lead, develop, and manage assigned compliance staff.
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to embed compliance into workflows.
