Requirements
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Fluent in at least two of the following languages: Hindi, Gujarati, or Punjabi (spoken and written).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with patients empathetically.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Keen attention to detail for documentation and application accuracy.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Evaluate patient eligibility for specific healthcare programs based on provided criteria.
- Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to gather information and explain program benefits and requirements.
- Document patient information, enrollment details, and eligibility assessments in electronic health records (EHR).
- Monitor enrollment progress and communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Provide patients with clear explanations regarding healthcare programs.
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality.
