Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management within hydrology, environmental engineering, forestry, or ecological restoration.
  • Strong background in water benefit accounting, ecosystem services, or corporate water stewardship.
  • Experience working in consulting, advisory, or project-based professional services environments.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, particularly using Excel for scenario analysis and valuation.
  • Experience working with geospatial tools and platforms such as ArcGIS and data management systems.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities with a data-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, policy, and executive audiences.
  • Preferred experience in ecosystem services markets, environmental finance, or climate-related investment frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end consulting engagements related to ecosystem services measurement, water benefit accounting, and restoration impact modeling.
  • Oversee external partners and consulting firms delivering technical tools and methodologies for ecosystem services quantification.
  • Use geospatial and internal data tools to estimate environmental benefits from reforestation and restoration projects.
  • Collaborate with science teams to refine methodologies for impact measurement and validation.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in ecosystem services markets, including carbon, water, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder mapping to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and evaluate high-impact policy opportunities at municipal and state levels to support restoration funding.
  • Translate technical findings into presentations and insights for internal and external audiences.
  • Support grant reporting, proposal development, and partnership documentation for funding initiatives.
  • Manage project reporting, deliverables tracking, and outcomes documentation across consulting engagements.
  • Communicate ecosystem services value propositions to corporate, philanthropic, government, and community stakeholders.
