Requirements

- Deep experience working with data streams from financial, transactional, and operational systems.
- Advanced SQL skills and expert knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and addressing complex technical challenges.
- Proven experience building robust and reliable data sets with high levels of control.
- Strategic mindset regarding financial product data.
- Experience shaping ambiguous data domains and gaining buy-in from senior leadership.
- Ability to manage the technical roadmap of an entire domain and execute project deliverables.
- Experience leading through the contributions of others to create exponential team value.
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a data architect for Monzo’s Operations data, designing scalable models to measure performance.
- Develop robust data models in BigQuery to support internal reporting, machine learning, and LLMs.
- Scope and lead the re-architecture of complex data domains related to workforce and customer demand.
- Shape and maintain best practices for the Data Warehouse including metadata, testing, and source data design.
- Set standards and foster knowledge sharing across the analytics function.
- Contribute to prioritizing data governance issues to ensure integrity and compliance.
- Champion central platform initiatives to elevate data standards across the Operations organization.
- Participate in on-call support rotations.
