Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related area.
- Must be licensed to independently practice in Missouri or Illinois (LCSW strongly preferred).
- 1-2 years’ experience post independent licensure in a behavioral health setting.
- 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, and their caregivers.
- Certification/Training in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT).
- Experience working with high-risk populations (suicidal/homicidal ideation, SPMI, foster care).
- Experience with triage assessments and crisis interventions.
- Telehealth experience.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office suites.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapeutic intervention to children with severe mental illness and mood disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and form treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based episodic therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver care using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
- Monitor progress using PHQ9 and GAD7.
- Conduct crisis assessments using Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale and safety planning.
- Support post-acute transitions for stabilization.
- Document visits in electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with behavioral health managers and crisis team members.
