Requirements
- 7+ years of experience at a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance carrier
- Experience in Product Management, Product Development, State Management, State Filings, Underwriting, Legal, or Compliance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with SQL, SAS, Python or other programming language
- Ability to analyze and solve problems related to regulatory operations
- Experience working in high-growth startup environments
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between Nirvana Insurance and the state departments of insurance
- Oversee vendors who currently assist with various regulatory compliance functions
- Create, maintain, and improve all required Statistical Reporting, DMV Reporting, and other state-required reports
- Manage state surcharge/taxes/fees assessment process
- Research and tailor countrywide product changes to meet regulatory requirements
- Draft, review, and implement policyholder notices
- Interpret state laws and regulatory changes and create recommendations
- Lead and respond to state data calls and assist with market conduct exams
