Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in national nonprofit organizations or school systems.
  • Deep knowledge of the education field, funders, research, policy landscape, and experts.
  • Robust network of experts, operators, and funders in the K12/youth development sector.
  • Extensive experience in program design, continuous improvement, and program evaluation.
  • Proven experience in fundraising and sustaining funding relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate convenings with senior-level leaders.
  • Strong management experience with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set a compelling vision and align metrics to drive results.
  • Experience working in rapidly growing and evolving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze membership data and execute strategic recruitment plans.
  • Engage with member CEOs and executive teams to understand needs and drive programming.
  • Plan and execute annual convenings for member organizations.
  • Identify and vet new collective action initiative ideas.
  • Design initiatives including theory of action, outcomes, budgets, and operating plans.
  • Identify funders, conduct outreach, and manage investor relationships.
  • Launch and manage 3-5 large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Hire and manage staff responsible for initiative implementation.
