Requirements
- 4+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong focus on scalable systems and distributed architectures.
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API design principles.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing data models for scalable systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges.
- Experience collaborating in Agile environments and working effectively across engineering and product teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take ownership of technical outcomes end-to-end.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or high-scale backend systems is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed services that support high-volume financial transactions and platform reliability.
- Architect and implement secure, performant solutions aligned with financial regulations, including payment processing standards and compliance requirements.
- Develop and enhance systems for banking integrations, debit card operations, transaction processing, reconciliation, and ledgering.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while continuously improving system scalability, resilience, and observability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and data stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Debug production issues, proactively identify system risks, and implement improvements to prevent outages and enhance reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and contribute to engineering best practices and system design decisions.
