Engineering at Friends From The City

As an engineer here, you will solve critical infrastructure challenges for public sector digital services. We ensure essential applications are stable, secure, and easy to maintain at scale. Your work will involve designing and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure, managing network integrations, and ensuring hybrid on-prem connectivity. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrated with Azure. Infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu) is central to our approach. You will implement robust security controls, including AD/RBAC, encryption, and firewall configurations. This role offers the unique opportunity to support compliance processes like System Security Plans (SSPs). We value systems thinkers who bring strong infrastructure skills and a passion for mission-driven work.
