  • Architect and ship AI-driven features — RAG pipelines and agentic workflows that take action across systems with human oversight where it matters.
  • Build the backend and infrastructure to run these reliably and at scale, across tens of thousands of IoT devices and low-connectivity environments.
  • Define what "good" looks like for our AI systems — holding them to real accuracy and impact standards, not demo performance.
  • Own large parts of the system end-to-end, from architecture to production reliability.
  • Work closely with product and data science to iterate fast and keep solutions aligned with product vision and real public-health needs.

About Nexleaf Analytics

Nexleaf Analytics safeguards global public health and protects the planet. They use sensor technologies and data analytics to drive impact in low- and middle-income countries. Imagine preventing vaccine spoilage for millions of babies or empowering local health workers with real-time equipment data. That is the mission. Their ColdTrace technology monitors vaccine cold chains in over 25 countries. This system protects $1.7 billion in vaccine value annually. Nexleaf also builds Connected Clinic, a platform for medical equipment data. This work ensures health infrastructure remains robust where it is needed most. They partner with organizations like Google.org and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They work directly with end users, customizing technology for specific country needs.

How We Work

You will join a global, distributed team committed to impact, empathy, synergy, and growth. Your colleagues are diverse experts, from software engineers to public health specialists. They collaborate across many time zones, with a preference for U.S. Eastern through East Africa (UTC-5 to UTC+3). Nexleaf fosters an inclusive workplace that values diverse backgrounds and experiences. You will experience a hands-on environment where innovation meets real-world application. Decisions aim to align with local needs and sustainability. Team members work together to build resilient, cost-effective technology solutions.

Engineering at Nexleaf Analytics

You will tackle unique engineering challenges connecting tens of thousands of IoT devices globally. Many operate in remote, low-bandwidth environments. You will design and scale a cloud platform that processes this data. This includes building AI-driven decision tools for Ministries of Health and NGOs. Engineers here architect and ship AI-powered features, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines. They also create agentic workflows that take actions across systems with human oversight. This involves owning systems end-to-end, from architecture to production reliability. Your work directly contributes to verifiable public health outcomes. You will define and evaluate AI system accuracy for real-world impact.
