Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership or management roles.
- Technical expertise in backend systems (Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, distributed architectures).
- Ability to define technical strategy, roadmap planning, and long-term system evolution.
- Experience in regulated environments with focus on security and compliance.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, and talent development skills.
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted development tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team responsible for building and maintaining billing, incentives, and performance guarantee systems.
- Define technical strategy and architectural direction for billing platforms.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Product teams to translate business requirements into roadmaps.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of billing system enhancements, including subscription/usage-based logic and partner integrations.
- Maintain system reliability and performance through code reviews and incident guidance.
- Embed security and regulatory considerations into system design.
- Champion AI-powered engineering tools to improve velocity and quality.
