Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software industry experience.
- 3+ years of engineering management experience.
- Strong hands-on coding skills.
- Professional experience with Go preferred.
- Experience with Docker for local development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases and ANSI SQL.
- Familiarity with API design (Protocol Buffers, Swagger, OpenAPI).
- Familiarity with Cloud computing and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with modern, scalable system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Backend Software Engineers building and supporting communications infrastructure.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Legal, and external delivery partners.
- Drive large technical initiatives from conception through delivery.
- Own document generation pipelines and multi-channel notification delivery.
- Design delivery failure handling, retry logic, and operational alerting.
- Build compliance-driven communications infrastructure and audit trails.
- Orchestrate engineering ceremonies and promote continuous improvement.
- Create growth plans and provide mentorship for team members.
- Contribute production-level code (approx. 20% of time).
