Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales, business development, or vertical market leadership
  • Proven leadership experience managing distributed, high-performing sales or development teams
  • Strong expertise in Local Government markets across the U.S. and Canada
  • Understanding of procurement processes and stakeholder dynamics
  • Demonstrated success in large-scale solution selling and complex deal structuring
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting and margin management
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and product development
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, energy systems, sustainability, or smart building solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute vertical-specific growth strategies focused on Local Government accounts.
  • Lead and coach Area General Managers, Development Managers, and sales teams.
  • Own forecasting, sales planning, and performance tracking.
  • Drive large and complex deal execution, including pricing strategy and contract negotiation.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key public sector stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging market trends and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and product teams.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales and development talent.
  • Establish scalable sales methodologies and governance practices.
