Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the meat, food protection, ingredients, or related food industry sectors.
  • Strong understanding of food systems, meat processing applications, and food protection technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales pipelines and successfully converting opportunities into commercial results.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product management, pricing, and finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing strategy, margin optimization, and competitive market dynamics.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a focus on market development and growth opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development efforts by identifying, pursuing, and converting new commercial opportunities within the meat food protection market.
  • Act as a technical and application expert, supporting customers and sales teams in developing value-driven solutions tailored to specific needs.
  • Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline, ensuring disciplined execution from early-stage engagement through to commercial conversion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product management, pricing, and finance to support commercial growth strategies.
  • Support customer engagement activities including meetings, industry events, and technical discussions to position solutions effectively.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy execution, ensuring alignment with margin expectations, market conditions, and value-based selling principles.
  • Provide market intelligence, including competitor activity, customer trends, and pricing feedback, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support innovation and product launches through customer training, market activation, and commercialization planning.
  • Shape regional growth strategies by identifying market opportunities and strengthening competitive positioning.
  • Ensure effective communication of portfolio updates and commercial changes across internal teams and customers.
