Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retail sales, key account management, or channel sales
- Strong background in consumer electronics, connected devices, smart home, or similar product categories
- Proven success in opening new retail accounts and growing distribution from the ground up
- Experience working with Canadian retailers, distributors, and category buyers
- Strong understanding of retail buying cycles, merchandising, and channel strategy
- Experience managing both in-store and eCommerce retail channels
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally to the United States
- Strong commercial mindset with a consistent track record of revenue growth
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new retail partnerships while expanding existing accounts across Canada
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow distribution, market share, and revenue across omnichannel retail environments
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, onboarding, product launches, and long-term account growth
- Create business plans, conduct retail reviews, and deliver executive-level presentations to partners
- Collaborate on promotional, pricing, merchandising, and marketing initiatives to drive sell-through performance
- Develop forecasts and demand plans while coordinating with supply chain teams on inventory and replenishment
- Manage co-op marketing investments and promotional budgets to maximize ROI
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product, and supply chain teams on retail initiatives
- Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and partner meetings
