Requirements
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, clinical, or medical administrative environment.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as NextGen or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with Patient Assistance Programs (PAP), pharmacy coordination, or prior authorization workflows is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications, including submission, tracking, and renewal coordination using designated healthcare platforms.
- Collect and verify patient documentation such as income proof, consent forms, and household information.
- Coordinate closely with healthcare providers to obtain required signatures, prescriptions, and authorizations.
- Maintain ongoing communication with patients regarding application requirements and status updates.
- Track medication refill schedules and proactively initiate renewals.
- Liaise with pharmacies, care teams, and manufacturer programs to ensure accurate medication delivery.
- Maintain accurate records in EHR and workflow systems while ensuring compliance.
