Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Solid understanding of relational database schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD.
- Ability to integrate third-party APIs reliably in production.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools and integrating LLMs into services.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, reliable backend services for financial transactions.
- Write clean, production-quality code in Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs using gRPC and event-driven architectures.
- Optimize relational and non-relational database schemas including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Integrate LLM API calls into backend services as product features.
- Build robust backend pipelines for AI-generated outputs.
- Instrument services with logging, distributed tracing, and metrics.
- Participate in on-call rotation and production incident response.
- Collaborate across multiple time zones and regions.
