Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience supporting patient referrals, prescription services, or reimbursement in infusion or specialty therapies
  • Experience providing high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with electronic health records or pharmacy patient management systems
  • Working knowledge of medical or pharmacy terminology
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as needed

Responsibilities

  • Monitor monthly insurance eligibility and authorization status for assigned active patients
  • Identify changes in coverage and proactively coordinate with patients, sales teams, physicians, and reimbursement partners to resolve barriers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and referral partners
  • Communicate insurance changes to Reimbursement Specialists to initiate new benefits verification or prior authorizations
  • Collaborate with data entry, reimbursement, nurse coordination, and pharmacy operations teams
  • Document patient, provider, and field communications accurately
  • Track referral progress, workload metrics, and case status
