Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience supporting patient referrals, prescription services, or reimbursement in infusion or specialty therapies
- Experience providing high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Familiarity with electronic health records or pharmacy patient management systems
- Working knowledge of medical or pharmacy terminology
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 5% as needed
Responsibilities
- Monitor monthly insurance eligibility and authorization status for assigned active patients
- Identify changes in coverage and proactively coordinate with patients, sales teams, physicians, and reimbursement partners to resolve barriers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and referral partners
- Communicate insurance changes to Reimbursement Specialists to initiate new benefits verification or prior authorizations
- Collaborate with data entry, reimbursement, nurse coordination, and pharmacy operations teams
- Document patient, provider, and field communications accurately
- Track referral progress, workload metrics, and case status
