Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language.
- Strong desire to learn Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Eagerness to understand database internals and reliability (MySQL).
- Comfort working in a mob programming environment.
- Experience or interest in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for large-scale systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent capability).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building and maintaining core infrastructure for Smartsheet.
- Collaborate daily via mob programming in a real-time development environment.
- Manage and upgrade large-scale database infrastructure.
- Maintain complex replication topologies.
- Automate core operations using AWS, Golang, MySQL, Terraform, Temporal, and GitLab-CI.
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) for system resilience.
- Participate in on-call rotations for operational health.
