Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Backend development experience.
- Eagerness to learn Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Interest in understanding database internals and reliability (MySQL).
- Comfortable working in a team-centric mob programming environment.
- Experience or interest in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core infrastructure for Smartsheet.
- Collaborate via real-time mob programming as driver or navigator.
- Manage and upgrade large-scale database infrastructure.
- Maintain complex database replication topologies.
- Automate operations using AWS, Golang, MySQL, Terraform, Temporal, and GitLab-CI.
- Use Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure system resilience.
- Participate in on-call rotations for operational health.
