Requirements
- Significant international policy experience, particularly in the EU and/or US.
- Significant management and leadership experience in a policy or public affairs function.
- Experience working in policy, whether as part of a policy team, a public affairs team, a think tank or similar.
- Self-starter, comfortable with the speed of execution at a startup.
- Proactive in sponsoring, mentoring, and providing feedback.
- Ability to lead projects on complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Help devise the teamâs international strategy and priorities as the business expands in new territories with a particular focus upon the EU and US.
- Coordinating input from across the business, briefing Board and senior management to ensure Monzo anticipates policy challenges and uses opportunities.
- Maintaining and developing key relationships with external policy makers, industry groups, consumer groups and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
- Helping build our expertise and views on a range of policy and social impact issues.
- Working with internal product teams to help them build features and services.
- Coordinating and writing formal responses to relevant consultations and other requests.
- Partnering with international trade and consumer organisations.
