Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend development experience using Java or Groovy
- Experience building modern web applications with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL data stores like MongoDB
- Proven ability to own and deliver epic-sized engineering efforts
- Experience building systems that integrate with APIs and event-driven workflows (Kafka)
- Proficiency with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across team boundaries
- Experience mentoring engineers and elevating team quality
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Own epic-level efforts end-to-end from technical design through production deployment
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack services using Java, Groovy/Grails, React, and TypeScript
- Identify and mitigate systemic technical risks and performance bottlenecks
- Evaluate technical approaches via design docs, pilots, and experiments
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing
- Lead technical design discussions to resolve ambiguity and align stakeholders
- Ensure launch readiness via comprehensive testing, rollout strategies, and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and clinical
