Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or related discipline
- 0-3+ years of experience in environmental inspections or audits
- Knowledge of RCRA, EPCRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and DOT hazardous materials regulations
- Ability to interpret environmental records and regulatory documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting platforms
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Willingness to travel 80% of the time, including off-hours/weekends
- Ability to pass medical screening and pre-employment drug testing
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and on-call environmental inspections at operational sites
- Evaluate hazardous waste handling, storage, and universal waste management
- Monitor stormwater, wastewater systems, and spill prevention measures
- Inspect loading docks, fuel systems, and mechanical rooms for risks
- Review facility documentation including manifests, emergency plans, and permits
- Prepare detailed inspection reports using online platforms
- Propose corrective actions for compliance gaps
- Collect and process environmental samples
