Requirements
- Experience coordinating international ocean and air freight shipments.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with export documentation and shipping compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and organization.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Understanding of Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, and related export documentation.
- Experience working with freight carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and freight forwarders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- English proficiency required.
Responsibilities
- Request and compare ocean and air freight quotations based on cost, transit times, routing options, and service levels.
- Coordinate bookings with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, suppliers, and customers.
- Monitor shipment progress and track key milestones from origin to destination.
- Coordinate container loading schedules, pickups, and transportation logistics.
- Review and verify Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, shipping instructions, and release documentation.
- Prepare, review, and maintain export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Health Certificates, and Certificates of Free Sale.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with international trade requirements.
- Communicate shipment updates and proactively address delays, discrepancies, or operational issues.
- Maintain organized records of shipments, documentation, and freight-related communications.
