Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience handling real estate closings
- Strong knowledge of commercial and residential title commitments
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Qualia is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
Responsibilities
- Manage settlement files from title commitment through closing with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
- Review title commitments to identify and resolve liens, encumbrances, and potential issues
- Prepare and review closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, corporate resolutions, and loan documentation
- Finalize settlement statements, ensuring all title requirements and conditions are satisfied
- Examine financial and legal documentation for completeness, compliance, and recording readiness
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Maintain accurate transaction files and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Act as a key liaison between clients, lenders, banks, real estate agents, and attorneys to facilitate smooth closings
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and legal requirements
- Identify and escalate high-risk issues to protect transaction integrity and minimize errors
