Requirements
- Proven sales experience, preferably in public works departments.
- Track record of success, business growth, and exceeding sales quotas.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3-5 years of experience with GovTech or SaaS selling into local county governments.
- Understanding of local government workflow and practices.
- Hunter sales mentality with tenacity and confidence.
- Experience in negotiating and closing contracts.
- Tech savviness and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis for tradeshows and conferences.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Responsibilities
- Own territory and work with sales support & marketing to develop new clients.
- Create and execute plans to identify opportunities and secure new business.
- Establish key relationships and act as a thought leader.
- Diagnose client problems, suggest solutions, negotiate, and close deals.
- Position the company as an industry expert.
- Coordinate the proposal process with internal stakeholders.
- Use Salesforce and Salesloft to manage contacts, leads, and the pipeline.
- Work with existing clients to ensure deployment and usage.
- Respond to technical client questions in coordination with Support staff.
