Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost estimating professional, preferably in a consulting environment
- Experience in conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, change order review and reconciliation, value engineering, and cost analysis
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and analyze construction documents at all stages of design
- Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and MII/PACES estimating software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.
- Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
- Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals
- Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
- Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
- Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
- Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.
