Requirements
- 5+ years of finance experience in progressive FP&A, operational finance or strategic corporate finance roles.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Expertise in Excel/Google Sheets to construct multi-variable, driver-based models.
- Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex cloud architecture variances to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive simplification and automation of financial and business processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as an autonomous finance partner to R&D, Product, and Engineering leadership.
- Lead cross-functional conversations to determine infrastructure cost drivers.
- Partner across Accounting, Engineering, FP&A, and FinOps to ensure accurate COGS/OpEx classifications.
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for R&D hosting infrastructure.
- Conduct deep-dive variance analyses linking financial outcomes to usage.
- Identify engineering cost-containment opportunities.
- Build flexible financial models to support scenario planning and investment trade-offs.
- Track and analyze vendor spend patterns and cloud capacity utilization.
- Communicate complex financial analyses and technical cloud cost structures.
