Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL in production environments
- Proven experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Account Management roles
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, replication, high availability, and scaling strategies
- Experience designing or supporting database migration projects in cloud environments
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI)
- Ability to write scripts and automation tools using Python, Go, or JavaScript
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience creating technical content such as documentation, tutorials, or internal guides
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architecture, workloads, and migration needs
- Design and execute proof-of-value and migration strategies for production database environments
- Advise customers on database architecture, performance tuning, scaling, and optimization strategies
- Support hands-on database migrations across PostgreSQL and distributed MySQL-based systems
- Build scripts, tools, and automation to streamline onboarding and migration workflows
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure customer success
- Create technical documentation, guides, and educational materials to support adoption
- Act as a technical advocate for customers, influencing product direction through feedback and insights
