Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 8–12+ years of enterprise sales experience
  • 3–5+ years focused on cybersecurity solutions
  • Proven experience selling into State, Local Government, or Education (SLED) environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, competitive positioning, and market trends
  • Demonstrated success in complex, consultative, and solution-based sales cycles
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
  • Strong CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and disciplined pipeline management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and results-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, drive, and manage a robust cybersecurity sales pipeline across SLED accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and close complex security opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to public sector clients, including engagement with senior and C-level stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with account managers to position cybersecurity solutions effectively within strategic pursuits
  • Maintain strong awareness of competitor activity and market dynamics within assigned accounts
  • Leverage consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs and align appropriate security solutions
  • Partner with internal teams and external ecosystem partners to execute coordinated sales strategies
  • Support lead generation and ensure effective pipeline management through structured sales processes
  • Contribute to forecasting accuracy and ensure disciplined sales execution across opportunities
