Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation operations, finance operations, incentive administration, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams, functions, or operational programs within complex organizational environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing attorney compensation, sales compensation, incentive programs, or similarly complex variable compensation structures.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation management platforms such as Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Xactly, or comparable systems.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes through automation, workflow optimization, and scalable system implementation.
  • Experience working within multi-entity organizations, complex operational environments, or businesses with intricate compensation structures.
  • Strong understanding of compensation calculations, financial reporting, operational controls, and system integrations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across finance, accounting, HR, payroll, operations, and technology functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Experience with CRM, HRIS, ERP, and compensation-related technology platforms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, UKG, Jira Service Management, FreshService, or similar enterprise applications is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee the organization's bonus administration platform, ensuring accurate calculation, management, and distribution of compensation and incentive programs across multiple business entities and operational divisions.
  • Develop deep expertise in platform configuration, compensation logic, automation workflows, reporting processes, and advanced issue resolution while serving as the primary operational owner of the system.
  • Lead the execution of automation initiatives designed to streamline data integrations, reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall bonus administration processes.
  • Maintain accurate compensation documentation and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper onboarding, plan administration, and governance processes.
  • Manage and develop a team responsible for operational support, system administration, data management, and compensation-related inquiries.
  • Establish scalable operating procedures, cross-training programs, documentation standards, and coverage models that reduce operational risk and improve continuity.
  • Partner with finance, accounting, HR, payroll, operations, and technology teams to coordinate workflows, resolve escalations, and ensure seamless execution of compensation processes.
  • Serve as a key advisor on compensation plan implementation, advocating for scalable and system-friendly program structures that support automation and operational efficiency.
  • Own communication strategies related to bonus programs, including schedules, policy updates, exceptions, and organizational changes.
  • Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadership regarding bonus operations performance, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
