Requirements
- Degree in accounting at undergraduate or graduate level
- 15+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Intuit
- Experience reviewing work of junior staff
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in developing and maintaining procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and document accounting procedures
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team on all accounting functions
- Monitor and ensure timely payment of invoices by staff
- Review and perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations
- Maintain books on a cash basis and apply GAAP principles
- Collaborate with technology department to automate accounting processes
- Complete month-end and year-end financial statement close
- Work in a shared service model for several related companies
- Perform departmental duties like 1099 processing and vendor management
