Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or outsourced CFO services
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a client-facing or multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with accounting systems and tools, including CLIO or similar legal practice management platforms
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated business acumen, with exposure to advisory, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI-driven performance management
- CPA certification or public accounting background is preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate outsourced accounting and CFO-level services for multiple legal industry clients
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, management reports, and regulatory financial documentation
- Advise clients on financial strategy, including cash flow management, funding needs, investment decisions, and operational performance improvements
- Monitor financial KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting outputs
- Manage client relationships, including regular communication with boards, executives, bankers, and external stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Support business development efforts
- Ensure effective use of accounting systems and tools across client environments
- Coordinate multiple client portfolios simultaneously
