Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 10+ years of broad-based legal experience.
- Experience in in-house General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel roles.
- Expertise in data center leasing transactions.
- Expertise in land acquisition and real estate development.
- Deep knowledge of corporate governance and commercial contracts.
- Familiarity with energy strategy and utility agreements.
- Ability to manage complex, high-value transactions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate legal structure, records, and board resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, securities, privacy, and employment laws.
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership and Board of Directors.
- Lead legal strategy for land acquisition, zoning, and permitting.
- Negotiate hyperscale data center lease agreements, MSAs, and SLAs.
- Advise on power procurement strategies, PPAs, and renewable energy projects.
- Lead due diligence and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Manage insurance coverage and legal response to emergencies.
