- 5+ years’ experience working for a developer of renewable energy, energy storage, or thermal generation; energy, oil and gas; investor-owned utility; or renewable energy buyer.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
- Understanding of the U.S. utility scale solar and energy storage markets.
- Experience with project pricing, project modeling, and proposal writing.
- Knowledge of the renewable project development life cycle.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tight timelines.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business opportunities and market trends in the renewable energy sector.
- Identify and qualify potential leads within the Central region (MISO/SPP), including utilities and municipalities.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with utility executives, government officials, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
- Negotiate terms and agreements with clients, including pricing and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and growth within the Central region.
