- Proven experience owning a product area or multi-team scope
- Experience building or evolving engineering practices across multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and coach engineering managers
- Strong technical background capable of reasoning about code and architecture
- Excellent written communication skills
- Daily use of LLM-based tools
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-team product area
- Own the product area's company-level objectives and engineering plan
- Set engineering practices like flow-based delivery, vertical slicing, and AI-native development
- Manage engineering managers with clear feedback and growth plans
- Make architecture-level trade-offs and define the technical roadmap
- Partner with PM, Design, Revenue, and Ops counterparts
- Formalize interfaces with the Platform organization
- Drive incident response and ensure system reliability
