Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing-related roles.
- Experience in commercial property and casualty insurance is highly preferred.
- Retail agency or insurance brokerage experience strongly valued.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate pipeline tracking and CRM discipline.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, lead generation, and account expansion strategies.
- Ability to obtain a state insurance license within the first 90 days of employment.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across sales, account management, and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Support business development initiatives by generating new business opportunities and contributing to overall sales growth within the insurance market.
- Identify and pursue cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities within existing client portfolios in collaboration with account management teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to strengthen engagement, drive retention, and generate referral opportunities.
- Re-engage lost accounts by analyzing churn reasons and building targeted strategies to win back business.
- Prospect new clients through networking, industry research, referrals, and market intelligence.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support campaigns, promotional activities, and sales enablement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions.
