Requirements

  • Experience with the Autotask dispatch portal.
  • Previous experience in client service or phone-related roles.
  • Familiarity with computer system support terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and operating systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including active listening.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes.
  • Technical awareness for matching resources to issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong typing skills for accurate request entry.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-process service requests from email, manual entry, or client input.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all service requests.
  • Categorize tickets by priority, urgency, and complexity.
  • Coordinate IT support groups to ensure resource utilization.
  • Schedule internal and onsite resources using Autotask.
  • Monitor resource schedules for prompt time entry.
  • Communicate status updates and changes to clients.
  • Document issue details, troubleshooting, and client interactions.
  • Escalate service requests exceeding SLAs.
  • Identify recurring issues for the Service Desk Manager.
